The following posts of Assistant Professors (purely on temporary basis), as mentioned against each Department/Centre/Institute, are to be filled in through Walk-in-Interview as per the following respective schedule as mentioned against each, for the Academic Session 2020-21:

3. For the post of Assistant Professor in the University Institute of Legal Studies-4 (Law) Eligibility (A or B): A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Law from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET : Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions, The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in Conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.

4. For the post of Assistant Professor in the University Institute of Applied Management -3: First Class Masters Degree in Business Management/Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE / UGC with specialization in Retail Management. OR  A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Retail Management from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

5. Marketing Management -1: First Class Masters Degree in Business Management/Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE / UGC with specialization in Marketing Management. OR  A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Marketing Management from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

6. Statistics and/or Operation Research -1: First Class Masters Degree in Business Management/ Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE / UGC with specialization in Statistics and/or Operation Research. OR A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Statistics and/or Operation Research from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. 7. For the post of Assistant Professor in the Centre for Police Administration-1: A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Police Administration from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

8. For the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics -3+1(Electronics): A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Physics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

9. Assistant Professor – 1(Electronics) Eligibility (A or B): Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Physics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with specialization in Electronics. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

10. For the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology -1 Eligibility (A or B): A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

11. For the post of Assistant Professor in the Centre for Defence and National Security Studies -1 Eligibility (A or B): A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Defence & Strategic Studies from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university with specialization in National Security of India. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

12. For the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics -1: Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Economics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

13. For the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies -1: A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Gandhian and Peace Studies/Gandhian Thought from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

Application Fee: Rs. 375/- (150/- for SC/ST and 185/- for Physically Handicapped)

Instructions

1. The Academic score as specified in Table 3-A of UGC Regulations for Universities on “Minimum Qualifications for appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018” shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview for the posts of Assistant Professors in the Universities, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.
2. The eligibility of every candidate will be determined on the basis of qualifications acquired and communicated to the office by him/her at the time of interview.
3. It is understood that the candidate shall possess the requisite qualifications relevant to the post in the department concerned and other qualifications if any prescribed for a post.
4. The competent authority could assign them teaching duties in the same subject in other teaching departments of the University in order to utilize their subject expertise/specialization and to meet the needs of the allied department/s at a given point of time, within the limits of the workload as prescribed in the relevant norms.
5. Separate application form is required to be submitted for each post.
6. All documents in original will have to be produced at the time of interview.
7. If any information supplied by the candidate in his application form is found to be incorrect/false at any stage, his candidature/selection shall be cancelled.
8. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any reason. University reserves the right not to fill any of the above posts.
9. Candidates must attach all the documents related to their research activities/other activities done by them.
